The number of States Members represented at the Conference was 58. The total number of delegates was 211, comprising 108 Government delegates, 51 Employers' delegates and 52 Workers' delegates. There were 359 advisers, comprising 141 Government advisers, 103 Employers' advisers and 115 Workers' advisers. The total number of delegates and advisers who have been nominated in conformity with the provisions of the Constitution of the Organisation to take part in the work of the Conference was 570.

The Thirty-sixth Session of the International Labour Conference held twenty-four plenary sittings, and adopted an Instrument of Amendment and two Recommendations:

  • Recommendation (No. 96) concerning the Minimum Age of Admission to Work Underground in Goal Mines
  • Recommendation (No. 97) concerning the Protection of the Health of Workers in Places of Employment

The number of Members represented at the Conference was 66. The Conference was composed of 124 Government delegates, 58 Employers' delegates and 59 Workers' delegates—a total of 241 delegates. In addition, 174 Government advisers, 108 Employers' advisers and 131 Workers' advisers - a total of 413 advisers. The total number of delegates and advisers in conformity with the provisions of the Constitution of the Organization to take part in the work of the Conference was 654.

Delegations from 73 countries and observers from nine territories took part in its work. The total number of delegates was 268, comprising 137 Government delegates, 65 Employers' delegates and 66 Workers' delegates. There were 494 advisers, comprising 211 Government advisers, 131 Employers' advisers and 152 Workers' advisers. The total number of delegates and advisers was 762.
